"Wandering Earth" is a well-deserved winner in this year's New Year's film competition. Its reputation and box office win-win situation have earned the honor of "milestone of domestic science fiction blockbuster".

"Liu Ji Style" is a difficult problem
To be frank, the "Little Broken Ball" uses most of the original settings, but does not have the "cool taste" of Da Liu. It is a product of Da Liu without the "Liu Ji Style".
This is precisely the premise of the commercial success of "small break ball": dramatic adaptation and ingenious use of the novel.

At the beginning, when the wind of film and television of "Three Body" came out, I thought it was very difficult for Liu Cixin's film and television to achieve commercial success. Excellent literary works are not necessarily suitable for film and television, let alone commercialization.
We flipped through the list of famous literary works, Dumas and Hugo are fragrant baboons, repeated remakes. Balzac can't. In English literature, Wilde is much worse than Shakespeare and Dickens.
Da Liu's works belong to the unpleasant category for two reasons:

Secondly, it is too grand to show the characters and plots. Needless to say, the space of Three Body is not long, but the total span of Wandering Earth is 2500 years. This scale of time and space makes it difficult to unfold the plot and shape the characters.
The original "Wandering Earth" is more like a set of world outlook, with many plot elements, but it has not been fully developed.
Character portrayal may be Daliu's biggest shortboard, whether it is "Three Body" or "Wandering Earth". What impressed me is that the world or even the universe, but there are no characters to leave traces.
There are only two kinds of people in Da Liu's works. One is a clue character, whose role is to provide a perspective, such as "I" in "Wandering Earth". The other is the typed "Superman", which is the main character in the Three Body. Such characters are closely related to the plot, but they are only the ultimate expression of a certain type, not the daily living individual.
At the extreme, Da Liu's novels only contain human beings and no individuals, which makes it difficult to make them film-and-television.
Considering the high risk of "Liu Ji Style" in film and television, the adaptation of "Little Broken Ball" is successful on the whole, with the word "Qiao".

Ingenious choice
The so-called "Qiao" word lies in being good at choosing or rejecting.
Daliu's best place is the setting of the physical world outlook. The film is basically unchanged. Through a large number of special effects, the original shows the most attractive grand beauty of the original.
The planetary engines on the great banks, the ice-bound barren earth, and the magnificent ruins after large-scale geological disasters are all very shocking scenes.  The performance of "faithful to the original" can not only win the praise of the core fans, but also meet the visual needs of the public.



We should also praise the writer's "sheer" in plot elements.
The most impressive conflict in the original novel is the rebel insurgency, which swept the world and almost led to the collapse of the "Wandering Earth Project" is very tempting. Conflict and scenes are needed.
Moreover, this conflict is the most expressive part of Daliu's "black, cold and hard" spiritual core.

The scriptwriter takes the part of Jupiter Ejection, which is only a bridge section of about 1,000 words in the original work, but deduces almost the whole plot of the film.
It seems unreasonable, but it is very ingenious. This bridge section is very important, and it is the key node of the Wandering Earth Project. To make an article on this node can smoothly connect the past and the future.
